2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed Lands in the U.S. for Monterey Car Week

The new-generation Bentley Continental GT Speed, Bentley’s latest luxury grand tourer, has officially arrived in the United States just a month after its much-anticipated online debut. This highly anticipated plug-in hybrid model will make its public debut tomorrow, August 16, at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering—one of the highlights of the prestigious Monterey Car Week. This event serves as the perfect stage for the 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed to showcase its remarkable features and innovations.

Bentley continues to push the boundaries of luxury and performance with the GT Speed, and the United States debut marks a significant milestone for the British automaker. According to Bentley, the new model is available with Mulliner’s special touches from launch, allowing future owners to “create tens of billions of possible specification combinations.” For its premiere at Monterey Car Week, the 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed sports a striking orange theme, boasting an Orange Flame Satin exterior finish. This vibrant color is complemented by glossy black accents, black-finished 22-inch alloy wheels featuring self-leveling logos, and a sports exhaust system that enhances its dynamic appeal.

Inside the cabin, Bentley’s commitment to luxury and craftsmanship shines through. The interior is designed in Gravity Gray, a new hue for this model, setting a sophisticated tone. Brunel leather seats with contrasting orange accents add a touch of elegance and sportiness, while diamond-quilted areas on specific components are accentuated by Gravity Gray stitching. This meticulous attention to detail ensures the GT Speed stands out among the multitude of high-end models showcased during the automotive event.

The Continental GT Speed takes inspiration from its predecessors, the coach-built Batur and Bacalar, incorporating special design traits that set it apart. The model features a new chassis equipped with advanced technologies, including two-chamber air springs with dual-valve dampers, a 48-volt active anti-roll control system, an eLSD, and torque vectoring. These innovations contribute to its exceptional handling and performance. Joining the classic coupe is its open-top sibling, the Continental GTC Speed, offering a luxurious and exhilarating driving experience.

Both the Continental GT Speed and the Continental GTC Speed share the same powertrain—a cutting-edge electrified V8 with plug-in capabilities. This powertrain replaces the previous W12 motor and combines a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine with an electric motor. The internal combustion engine generates 591 horsepower (600 PS/441 kW), while the electric motor adds an additional 187 horsepower (190 PS/140 kW). Together, they deliver an impressive total output of 771 horsepower (782 PS/583 kW) and a substantial 738 pound-feet (1,000 Nm) of torque. This electrified powertrain not only enhances performance but also improves fuel efficiency and reduces emissions.

In terms of performance, the Continental GT Speed accelerates from 0 to 62 mph (100 kph) in a mere 3.2 seconds, while the GTC Speed takes slightly longer at 3.4 seconds. The top speed for the GT Speed is an exhilarating 208 mph (335 kph), and the GTC Speed reaches a maximum of 177 mph (285 kph). A 25.9 kWh battery is strategically positioned behind the rear axle to improve the vehicle’s balance and handling. It takes approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes to recharge the battery using an 11 kW outlet, providing an electric driving range of up to 50 miles (81 km) on the WLTP cycle. Additionally, the combined autonomy of the Continental GT Speed and GTC Speed is an impressive 534 miles (859 kilometers).

Production of the new Bentley Continental GT Speed and GTC Speed will take place at Bentley’s state-of-the-art factory in Crewe, England. Production is scheduled to commence in late Q3 of this year, with the first deliveries to customers expected in the fourth quarter. With its stunning design, advanced technology, and unparalleled performance, the 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed is set to redefine the luxury grand tourer segment, captivating automotive enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike.
