INTERIOR

Almost everything about a Bentley can be changed by the buyer. Even though it is completely new, it still has a touch of old-world luxury. The interior of the Bentayga has rich leather, real wood trim, and flashy metal pieces to keep up its high-end look. Customers can choose from four-person bucket seats in the front and back, a three-seat bench in the second row, and a third row that pops up to fit seven people. The back seats have a lot of headroom and legroom. There are many ways to adjust the seat, which makes it easy for drivers to find the best position quickly.

The interior of the car has adjustable ambient lighting, two mother-of-pearl-faced Breitling dash clocks, two separate bottle coolers for passengers in the backseat, and even a safe with a biometric lock and fingerprint scanner. Because the Bentayga has a huge trunk, we were able to fit nine carry-on bags in there.

All versions of the Bentayga come with a 10.9-inch infotainment screen with navigation and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It can be used by people in the back seats to look at the internet, use the entertainment system, or watch movies. Two 10.2-inch monitors affixed to the front seats’ headrests make up the entertainment system.

ENGINE POWER AND PERFORMANCE

With the Bentayga, Bentley provides a selection of powertrains. A 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 and an electric motor combine to produce 443 horsepower at the low end; the Azure and S hybrids feature a little more potent 455 horsepower version of the electrified powertrain. A 626-hp W-12 in the Bentayga Speed ups the ante. The 542-hp twin-turbo V-8 engine follows. On its way to 60 mph, which it does in only 3.5 seconds, the V-8 makes a hearty burble.

When the Speed had 600 horsepower in 2017, this incredibly smooth powerhouse completed our 60-mph test in 3.6 seconds. Compared to the V-8, the W-12’s power delivery is creamier, and passing maneuvers felt more robust with the W-12’s performance. Notwithstanding the engine, all Bentaygas have an eight-speed automatic transmission and have all-wheel drive as standard.
